Pelosi: America Cannot Withstand Second 'Destructive' Term From Trump
House Speaker implodes during CNN interview

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said America could not withstand the “destruction” President Donald Trump would bring if he is re-elected in November.
During an exclusive interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Pelosi said:
“I can’t even envision a situation where he would be reelected."
"But we are not—we don’t take anything for granted," the House Speaker added.
“As I say, we have to have our own vision for the future," she continued.
"But everybody knows that we must be unified and making sure that he does not have a second term," Pelosi said.

"Our country is great. The American people are wonderful," she stated.
"We’re a resilient country. We can withstand one term," Pelosi argued at th possibility of another term from Trump.
"But the destruction that he would do to the courts of our country, and the environment where he says I’m not going to use science as any basis for decisions on the environment," she added.
"When he says, Article 2 says I can do whatever I want. He must be defeated.”
Pelosi also claimed that Trump was not actually acquitted of impeachment charges.

When the anchor noted Trump seemed emboldened by his acquittal and is as popular as ever, Pelosi imploded.
“What about, though, the fact that the president seems liberated, and this is about Democratic politics, so I’m not asking you to criticize here, but he was acquitted, his poll ratings are high …” Amanpour started her question.
“He was not [acquitted], there was no [acquittal],” Pelosi interrupted.
Last week, Pelosi seemingly flirted with impeaching the president again, accusing Trump of interfering with the Justice Department amid the recent withdrawal of Roger Stone's lengthy prison sentence, calling it an "abuse of power"
“This is an abuse of power that the president is again trying to manipulate federal law enforcement to serve his political interest."
“And the president is what he is. He thinks he’s above the law, he has no respect for the law, but where are the Republicans to speak out on this blatant violation of the rule of law?” Pelosi stated.
