Trump Predicts Pelosi ‘Will Lose the House’ Because of ‘Impeachment Hoax’
President predicts Democrats losing seats to 'far-left' primary challengers
President Donald Trump predicted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would “lose the House, again” following her tantrum last week ripping the State of the Union speech.
Trump also predicted that Democratic New York Rep. Jerry Nadler would lose the primary for his seat.
“Because of how badly they did with the Impeachment Hoax, AOC will primary Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, and win, and Jerry Nadler has a good chance of losing to his far-left primary opponent! It is all getting quite interesting. Pelosi will lose the House, AGAIN! My poll numbers great,” the president tweeted.
Last week Trump said, “I think AOC is going to run against Schumer, and I think she’ll kick his ass.”
In the light of being acquitted following the month-long impeachment trial, the president has seen a boost to his approval ratings, with an average of 45.5%, according to RealClearPolitics.
Meanwhile, calls are still mounting for Pelosi to resign from her role as speaker of the House amid the backlash to her stunt at the State of the Union last week.
A prominent Democrat law professor and top congressman have joined calls on Pelosi to stand down over her conduct during the conclusion of President Trump’s SOTU address.

As the president finished his speech and the chamber stood to applaud him, Pelosi ripped up a text copy of the speech during the event that was televised nationally and live-streamed around the world.
Last week, C-SPAN asked people, including Democrats, to call in and give their opinions on Pelosi's speech ripping tantrum.
"I’m a Democrat, but I no longer will vote Democrat,” said one caller.
"I think it’s outrageous that they sat there when all these good things are happening to our country and how much we love our country."
"And they looked like they hated our country…"
"It’s outrageous, and I will never vote Democrat again.”
