Trump: If I Listened to John Bolton, We’d Be in World War 6 By Now
President blasts former National Security Advisor
President Donald Trump blasted his former National Security Advisor John Bolton following leaks from his tell-all book continued to appear in the media.
The president said Bolton “begged” him for a job in his administration that didn't need Senate approval because he believed he would never get it.
Trump admitted he hired Bolton despite advice against it.
“[F]rankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now,” Trump wrote.
The president slammed Bolton for “IMMEDIATELY” writing “a nasty and untrue book” about working in the Trump administration.
“All Classified National Security,” Trump said.
“Who would do this?”
Trump added Bolton should have raised concerns during his time at the White House.
“Why didn’t John Bolton complain about this ‘nonsense’ a long time ago, when he was very publicly terminated,” Trump said.
“He said, not that it matters, NOTHING!”
A source familiar with Bolton’s book told the New York Times that the former national security adviser claimed Trump personally told him aid to Ukraine should be frozen until the Ukrainians began corruption investigations into Biden.
For a guy who couldn’t get approved for the Ambassador to the U.N. years ago, couldn’t get approved for anything since, “begged” me for a non Senate approved job, which I gave him despite many saying “Don’t do it, sir,” takes the job, mistakenly says “Libyan Model” on T.V., and..— Donald J. ....many more mistakes of judgement, gets fired because frankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now, and goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 29, 2020
No matter how many witnesses you give the Democrats, no matter how much information is given, like the quickly produced Transcripts, it will NEVER be enough for them. They will always scream UNFAIR. The Impeachment Hoax is just another political CON JOB!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 29, 2020

Last year, Neon Nettle reported Bolton told his aide to alert the National Security Council (NSC) lawyer over a meeting between Ukraine and US officials.
Former senior director for Russian and Eurasian affairs, Fiona Hill, told lawmakers that a July meeting with Ukrainian officials about unspecified investigations left her and Bolton so "concerned" that he directed her to alert an NSC attorney.
Hill exited the administration days before the July 25 phone call between President Trump and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky.
