Trump's Impeachment Defense Team Will Take on Bidens and Steele Dossier
President's personal lawyer Jay Sekulow vows to address issues
President Donald Trump's impeachment defense team will “address” the charges of corruption against Former vice president Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, along with the unverified Steel Dossier used to smear the president.
The president's personal lawyer Jay Sekulow told reporters that the Bidens would be included in their case after Democrats largely defended them in their arguments against Trump.
Sekulow added the Democrats “opened up the door as wide as a double door on the Hunter Biden, Joe Biden Burisma issue,” when they argued for the Senate to convict President Trump on two articles of impeachment.
Democrats attempted to 'debunk' corruption claims against Hunter Biden’s lucrative job on the Ukraine gas company board while his father served as vice president while in the White House.
“I guess they figured that was their way of getting ahead of it,” Sekulow said.
“We will address it.”
Sekulow announced that the defense team would also address Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016 solicited foreign interference by paying for the Steele Dossier.
The unverified Dossier included files of salacious allegations about President Trump, which was later used as the foundation for a federal investigation into whether Trump colluded with the Russians to win the White House.
“Was that not foreign interference?” Sekulow asked.

“We are are going to rebut and refute, and we are going to put on an affirmative case tomorrow. But that’s just one issue.”
Last December, Trump signaled he wanted Attorney General William Barr to investigate potential links between twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the Steele dossier, and Ukraine.
Trump called on AG Barr to "find out what is going on" with the controversial anti-Trump dossier, compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele, and how Ukraine and Hillary are linked to it.
Trump told Hannity that he's been “hearing about” potential ties between Clinton, the dossier, and Ukraine and wants the attorney general to investigate further.
“You hear about Ukraine, and you’ve been hearing about it. I heard Clinton was involved,” the president revealed.
