Joe Biden: DACA Illegal Aliens Are ‘More American Than Most Americans’
Ex-vice president claims DACA illegals are more patriotic because they 'do well in school'

Former Vice President Joe Biden told an audience in Iowa this week that illegal aliens in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are "more American than most Americans."
The Democratic presidential candidate was filmed making the remarks during an event in Ames, Iowa on Tuesday.
Biden argued that DACA illegal are more patriotic than most US citizens "because they have done well in school."
"These kids have come, they’ve done well, most of these kids there’s a lot of them, and they’re not just Hispanic, they’re Asian-Pacific Islanders as well," the 77-year-old ex-VP told the crowd.
"And they, in fact, have done very well," Biden continued.
"In many cases, they’re more American than most Americans because they have done well in school."

Biden proceeded to claim that DACA illegals deserve a pathway to U.S. citizenship because they believe in the “basic principles” which we all share.
"They believe the basic principles that we all share.
"I think they should, in fact, be put on a path to citizenship.”
During an an election forum Monday, Biden also said he does not support deportating illegal aliens who are arrested for drunk driving.
“You only arrest for the purpose of dealing with a felony that’s committed,” he said.
"I don’t consider drunk driving as a felony."
DACA, which former President Barack Obama enacted through executive order, defers deportation for illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children.
Biden unveiled an immigration plan in December 2019 that included a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, according to the Daily Caller.
Biden said at a campaign event Jan. 7 that illegal aliens would have to learn English before qualifying for citizenship.

The former vice president’s praise of illegal aliens marks a stark contrast to the tone he has generally taken since jumping into the 2020 race, according to Breitbart.
Although Biden favors giving healthcare to migrants residing in the country unlawfully, he has taken a more nuanced approach to border enforcement and deportations.
This was on display in July 2019, when the former vice president was confronted by an immigration activist when campaigning in New Hampshire.
The activist, who claimed to be undergoing deportation proceedings, demanded that Biden “apologize to the three million immigrants that were deported and separated from their families under the Obama years.”
The former vice president simply smirked at the cameras taping the altercation, before telling the activist he would do no such thing.
“I will not apologize for the deportation of people who have committed a felony,” Biden said at the time.
