New Tesla Pickup Truck Costs Just $49k, Set to Topple F-150
According to Musk, the new truck will be ‘incredibly functional’

Teslas electric cars are notable for their slick design, tech, and on-road capabilities. There is currently a saloon car (Model S), an SUV (Model X) a budget version (Model 3), and the Roadster model which was launched into space by founder Elon Musk.
Another mid-sized car is set to release in 2019 - the model Y, which is in between an S and an X.
But just when you thought Tesla had forgotten something, they added a pickup truck to the range too.

The Pickup Truck
Elon Musk revealed a brand new electric pickup truck. Pick up trucks are usually associated with gas guzzling road monsters, but Tesla's new range is set to change that.
But for now, unfortunately, it's just a rumor, and there has been no leak of the design or any details about this truck.
That said, there is no lack of speculation, and many people seem to have their own opinions on the idea of the new Tesla truck.
As we all know, Tesla’s are expensive.
The design, technology, and interior scream luxury and offer fantastic comfort.
It has been argued that they are some of the best electric vehicles on the market, costing more than $100,000 for the latest models.
Many predicted that the new pickup truck would be in this region, but the price range has been revealed, and it's shocking everyone, apart from the Model 3, this could be one of the cheapest Tesla cars ever produced.
Elon Musk was examining this exceptional vehicle with Ryan McCaffrey in his ‘Ride the Lightning podcast, ’ during which, Musk announced that the Tesla pickup truck would have an opening price of about $49,000 at most.
While this might seem expensive, relatively, it’s quite a moderate price.
There are, of course, quite a few pickup legends that this Tesla truck has to live up to.

Namely, the Ford F-150, which is the pinnacle of American pickup trucks.
In quite a bold statement, Musk stated that this electric truck would be better than an F-150 and indeed something else that hasn't been experienced before.
According to Musk, the new truck will be ‘incredibly functional’ and while somewhat over the top, will be well deserving of every penny.
He noted that it would have dual motor, all wheel drive, crazy torque, and so much more.
