According to reports, Avicii had been battling acute pancreatitis due to "excessive alcoholism."
He was then forced to cancel tours as his health issues became more problematic.
Why Avicii's death doesn't make sense
There has been no official report on his exact cause of death but Avicii's death is the latest tragedy to strike the music world following the recent deaths of two other legends, Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington.

The Avicci video 'For a Better Day'
The “For a Better Day" video is disturbing to put it lightly.
It seemingly tells a story of children being sold as slaves to child traffickers.
The video shows how two children escape by jumping off a cliff into the ocean, before returning as adults to get their revenge on their captors.
At the end of the video, it is revealed that the leader is killed and branded.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article stated that Avicii's death may have been related to causes other than suicide. It also added speculation that Avicii may have had information about a "pedophile ring" and that he may have been killed due to information he was planning to make public. The commentary was speculative and there's no evidence to date that Avicii had such information, or that his death was anything other than suicide. This article has been updated to reflect this correction.
