Top Physicist: 'Our Souls Don't Die' They 'Reunite With The Universe'

A top American physicist has claimed that when a person is officially declared "dead," their soul "reunites with the universe and continues to live on for eternity."

According to Dr. Stuart Hameroff and mathematical physicist Sir Roger Penrose, the human soul is similar to a piece of software that is run by an extremely advanced computer within the brain, maintained by microtubules of brain cells.

The scientist's discovery of the "process of dying" is what they call “Orchestrated Objective Reduction,” or “Orch-OR.”

When human beings are pronounced “clinically dead,” microtubules in the brain cease to keep their quantum state but continue to retain information inside of them.

The theory was covered in The Science Channel’s ongoing documentary show Through the Wormhole, were Dr. Hameroff explains:

“Let’s say the heart stops beating, the blood stops flowing; the microtubules lose their quantum state. The quantum information within the microtubules is not destroyed, it can’t be destroyed, and it just distributes and dissipates to the universe at large.

If the patient is resuscitated, revived, this quantum information can go back into the microtubules and the patient says ‘I had a near-death experience.’

If they’re not revived, and the patient dies, it’s possible that this quantum information can exist outside the body, perhaps indefinitely, as a soul.”

Hameroff insists that the human soul is more than “interactions” of neurons in the brain. His theory indicated that "souls" have probably existed since the beginning of time itself.

According to The Sun: Physicist Sir Roger Penrose believes that it's just a packet of information stored at a quantum - or sub-atomic - level. Sensationally, he claims to have found evidence that this information, which is stored in microtubules within human cells, leaves the body after a person dies.

Sir Roger has argued that when a person dies temporarily, this quantum information is released into the universe, only to return to the body's cells if the host is brought back to life.

He argues that this explains why people can have near-death experiences and believes that this quantum information amounts to a soul leaving the body.

The physics expert said: "If the patient dies, it's possible that this quantum information can exist outside the body, perhaps indefinitely, as a soul."
